First of all, Fr. KK has put in two stained glass windows
behind the altar. One depicts the
Annunciation and the other, St. Michael’s victory over Lucifer. I asked Fr. KK why he chose the second
one. He told me it was to show that
God’s strength is stronger than that of evil.
He has constructed a wall perhaps 8 feet tall around the soccer field. He told me that it is necessary to protect
the children. In addition, there is to
be a Jazz concert in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the
school. The wall allows him to charge
admission for this event.
The corrugated metal wall around the church is down. Apparently while Fr. KK was in Brazil, the
Deputy and the Mayor removed it, probably because it was unsightly. Unfortunately, goats have now eaten most of
the newly planted landscaping.
